Favourite lacrosse player:
Stacey Morlang
Aspirations in lacrosse:
To continue to play for my club and never lose my passion for the sport, and potentially play at an elite level again one day.
What keeps you motivated:
My teammates. Even when I’m tired and can’t be motivated for training on some days you do it for them.
What drew you to Future Stars Lacrosse?:
I wanted to improve as a player and make the U17 Victorian team. My friends were all doing it and thought it would be a good way to keep fit and take my skills to the next level.
What are your favourite sessions at Future Stars Lacrosse?
I loved the sessions that involved mini games, because they helped me develop my skills that apply to real-game situations.
How do you think Future Stars Lacrosse helped you develop as an athlete?
It gave me confidence in my abilities, gave me an opportunity to develop my stick skills, footwork and fitness.
What did it feel like being named in the 2019 U19 Australian Team?

It was awesome to have worked so hard for something and have it pay off. I was so stoked to travel and play with my best friends.

Tell us about the friends you have made through training with Future Stars Lacrosse?
The program allowed me to train with some of my best friends from my club and the other clubs around Melbourne. I formed close bonds with many people I am still friends with, and this helped when playing together in state teams.
What would you say to anyone considering joining Future Stars Lacrosse?
Definitely give it a go! You will improve your skills and have fun with your friends. It’s a great steppingstone towards Victorian and Australian teams.
What’s it like getting advice from Sarah Mollison and what have you learnt from her?
Sarah has taught me so much in my lacrosse career, from basic stick skills and footwork to real game scenarios and team defence. It’s great learning from someone who has an amazing college career and multiple Australian Teams under their belt. Her teacher background shines through in her sessions as they are well planned and always effectively communicated.
